What is a Date?
Pengertian Tanggal (Date)
In English, a date tells us when something happens (Tanggal memberi tahu kita kapan sesuatu terjadi).
"Today is October 7th, 2026."
(Hari ini adalah tanggal 7 Oktober 2026.)

Ordinal Numbers for Dates
Mengapa Menggunakan Ordinal Numbers?
Dalam Bahasa Inggris, tanggal WAJIB menggunakan Ordinal Numbers (angka bertingkat/urutan) dan BUKAN Cardinal Numbers (angka biasa 1, 2, 3).
❌ Salah: October 7 (dibaca October seven)
✅ Benar: October 7th (dibaca October seventh)
Aturan Akhiran (Suffix Rules):
- Angka berakhiran 1 → tambahkan -st (1st = first, 21st = twenty-first) *Kecuali 11th (eleventh)
- Angka berakhiran 2 → tambahkan -nd (2nd = second, 22nd = twenty-second) *Kecuali 12th (twelfth)
- Angka berakhiran 3 → tambahkan -rd (3rd = third, 23rd = twenty-third) *Kecuali 13th (thirteenth)
- Angka lainnya → tambahkan -th (4th, 5th, 10th, 31st)
